Swart Amps!

Today is a huge day for my friend Michael Swart as he steps away from his job and goes out on his own in pursuit of more freedom in his life. Michael's refusal of security has really resonated with me as of late. I love watching people succeed and it's been pretty cool watching him take a huge risk with his business. His Space Tone amp has really taken hold in the boutique amp sector and he's getting all kinds of props from the music industry. Congrats Michael!

Minishs at the Beach

I love referrals! Last week, I had the pleasure of shooting a beach session with the Minishs who are friends with the Harmans. These two little ones were running all over the place and I had a nice little workout trying to keep up. I wasn't sure if the weather was going to hold up but then the sun broke through the clouds and flooded us with some nice golden light near the end of our time together.





I love the facial expressions in this photo!

Danahers Downtown

Here are some images from a recent downtown session. Mike & Megan wanted some shots before they move out to Chicago where Mike will be attending chiropractor school. I guess we'll have to make sure that none of Mike's future patients see any of the images with Megan climbing on his back! They were a great couple to work with and we were able to capture some really nice moments.

Scarola Beach Session

Here are some photos from a beach session with some crazy golden light a few weeks ago. The south end of Wrightsville Beach is a popular spot this time of year. I think this little one was, by far, the most active toddler I have shot. She loved the water so much that she wasn't going to stop at just her ankles...she was aiming for the end of the jetty! I really like the shot of her mom scooping her up and running. Huge kudos on the outfits...they complimented each other very well. Enjoy the slideshow!

Prevatte-Owens Wedding

Blair and Andy were married on June 23rd in historic Brunswick Town. I had been looking forward to this wedding for the past six months. It was a gorgeous day with so many great moments.
